Description Case Study: Mrs. Brown has been asked to join business team. When she arrived at the team meeting, she found that the team had been working on this project for several months. The team leader informed her that there was not enough time to give her a full orientation and she would have to jump into the project as fast as she could. Mrs. Brown was asked to work on a section of the team project. Mrs. Brown studied and reviewed the project requirements but did not agree with some of the mandates that the leader has set forth. In the second general meeting Mrs. Brown decided that she must speak up about how the team was not moving forward and according to her experience where making serious financial errors. Mrs. Brown was very assertive and decided to tell each of the members of the team, what they needed to do to improve their section of the project in the coming weeks, and she found that the way the team were doing the project was not effective. After the meeting, many of the team members approached the team leader and reported that they were not happy with Mrs. Brown presentation. They felt that she was not a team player, that she could not communicate in a professional manager and they wanted the Team Leader to ask her to leave the team. The Team leader was very surprised for he thought that the Mrs. Brown was providing some excellent suggestions for improvement.
