This information allows healthcare professionals to identify trends and target interventions to promote healthy habits among the population.

3. Global Health:
a. The Global Health Security Agenda section showcased international efforts to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. Through collaborations with partner countries, the CDC contributes to global health security and pandemic preparedness, fostering a safer world.
b. I found the Global Immunization page particularly interesting. It highlighted the importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases worldwide. The CDC’s involvement in vaccination campaigns, research, and education underscores their commitment to reducing global disease burden and improving public health globally.

WHO Website:

1. Health Topics:
a. The section on Mental Health provided valuable information on mental disorders and their impact on global health. I learned about the burden of mental illness, strategies for prevention and treatment, and the importance of mental health promotion in overall well-being.
b. The Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) section intrigued me. I discovered that NTDs primarily affect the poorest populations, and their control and elimination require collaborative efforts. 2. Data, GHO Themes:
a. The Global Health Observatory (GHO) offers a comprehensive collection of health-related data. One specific theme, Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs), caught my attention. Through data visualization tools and reports, it provided insights into the global burden of NCDs and their risk factors. This information aids in developing evidence-based policies and interventions.
b. The Tobacco Control theme within the GHO emphasized the detrimental effects of tobacco use on public health. The WHO’s efforts to implement policies, promote cessation programs, and combat tobacco industry interference were impressive and crucial for reducing the burden of smoking-related diseases.

3. Publications:
a. The publication titled “World Health Statistics 2021” stood out due to its comprehensive overview of global health trends and indicators. It provided valuable data on various health determinants, including mortality rates, disease burden, and health system performance.
b. The “Ten Years in Public Health, 2007 – 2017” publication was intriguing as it provided insights into the WHO’s achievements, challenges, and global health priorities during that period. It underscored the organization’s commitment to addressing public health emergencies, promoting health equity, and strengthening health systems.

In conclusion, my exploration of the CDC and WHO websites revealed numerous fascinating findings across different sections.
