Psalm 1 Translation and Exegesis This assignment requires completion of multiple steps in chronological order. Step I: Psalm 1 Translation and Summary: Using Accordance, and the work done previously in the course, translate Psalm 1 from Hebrew to English. Compare your translation of the Psalm to the NLT, NIV, and ESV. In 200-250 words, describe the similarities and difference between your translation and each of these translations. Step 2: Psalm 1 —Theological Words Summary: From Psalm 1, identify three major theological words and provide a 75-100 word summary of each word where you discuss the range of meaning and show the meaning of the word in other passages of Scripture. Step 3: Verse-by-Verse Commentary: After completing Step 2, provide a verse by verse commentary of 750-1,000 words on the meaning of the Psalm. Step 4: Application Points: Conclude the paper by discussing, in 200-250 words, the major application points (no more than three) that you would make if teaching or preaching this passage.
