Post Your Introduction [WLO: 1] [CLO: 2]

In your initial post, introduce yourself to your peers and your instructor by creating a personal statement. The purpose of your personal statement, as opposed to a more general introduction, is to provide a picture of how you intend to use the Master of Public Health (MPH) program to advance your career and improve your life. It is also our goal with this course to help you have a successful graduate school experience. With that in mind, I would ask that you visit the MPH Learning Community, specifically the Events and Activities page.

This can be accomplished in two ways:

  • By using the Canvas Dashboard,
    • Click ‘Dashboard’ on the left most Global Navigation Menu. Once the dashboard appears, select Department of Health Sciences Learning Communities (image of individual receiving vaccine).
  • By using the ‘Courses’ button,
    • Click ‘Courses’ on the left most Global Navigation Menu. All available dashboard options will appear. At the top, select ‘Department of Health Sciences Learning Communities.’

Once on the Learning Community page, scroll to the bottom and you will see the Masters in Public Health option. You can trace your cursor over the top of the image and then select ‘Events and Activities’

Here you will find the graduate modules needed for this discussion and a wealth of other resources related to public health here at the University of Arizona Global Campus and throughout the United States.

Select two of the graduate modules and return to this space and complete the information below.

I am a medical professor responsible for creating college assignments and evaluating student performance in a medical college setting. As part of my role, I design and conduct lectures, administer examinations, and provide feedback to students through assignments.

In order to create an effective learning environment for medical college students, I strive to develop assignments that challenge their knowledge and skills, while also promoting critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. These assignments are designed to assess their understanding of medical concepts, as well as their ability to apply those concepts in real-world scenarios.

Through my lectures, I aim to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the medical field, covering topics such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology. I utilize various teaching methods, including interactive discussions, multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities, to engage students and enhance their learning experience.

I believe that regular evaluation of student performance is crucial in identifying areas of improvement and providing timely feedback. Examinations and assignments are carefully designed to assess students’ comprehension and application of medical knowledge. Constructive feedback is then provided to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, and guide them towards further improvement.

Ultimately, my goal as a medical professor is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for a successful career in medicine. I am committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, and to provide students with the tools they need to excel in their medical education. Through my dedication to teaching and evaluation, I aim to contribute to the development of competent and compassionate healthcare professionals who will positively impact the lives of others.
